Cole has consistently voted to hold government to the highest standards of accountability and transparency. During the 2018 session, Cole authored what is widely considered to be one of the toughest data privacy laws in the country. When state government agencies sought to exempt themselves from this law, Cole fought back. Our government should not pass laws that it is not willing to comply with itself. Transparent government is good government.
